MAB’s Note | In Solidarity whith the families affected by the criminal attack in Aracruz
The Movement solidarizes with families affected by the attack in Aracruz and demands justice; Among the victims is a MAB activist in the state, hospitalized in grave condition

The Movement of People Affected by Dams (MAB), publicly expresses its solidarity with the families affected by the attack that occurred in Coqueiral de Aracruz, municipality of Aracruz, Espírito Santo, and repudiates the attack that resulted in the death of two teachers and one student, and other people injured.
The town is affected by Vale’s crime in the Doce River, and among the injured is MAB’s member in the state, activist and public school teacher, Flavia Amboss Merçom, who is hospitalized in grave condition. Affected people from all over Brazil hope for a speedy recovery and send their best wishes to her.
We demand the State to take all necessary measures and to adopt the most rigorous investigation of the facts and to hold the aggressor responsible.
Our historic mission at this moment is to defeat fascism and this wave of violence that takes over our country, rebuilding democratic values and solidarity ties.
